Courses

Objectives of the Course:

•The student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of Montessori philosophy, theory, and methodology.
• The student will be able to demonstrate theoretical knowledge and application of pertinent
    research findings in child development and childhood education.
• The student will have the insights and skills needed to work with the individual needs of children
    and plan for the continuity of learning experiences for children
• The student will become part of a team in a school and will learn how to work well with coworkers
    and the administration of the school.
• The student will demonstrate love for children and for the Montessori Method.
• The student will be able to adequately communicate child development and educational
    concepts to coworkers, parents, and the community.
• The student will learn and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all communications with families and children.
• The student will demonstrate awareness of community resources for additional support of children and families.
• The student will have an awareness of available professional associations, both Montessori and
    other Educational Associations.
